About the role
This is a project-based role for a contractor position in our Scholars program
As an AI Developer specializing in Graphic Design, you will serve as both a domain expert and a key contributor to the development of design and advertising-related AI systems.
Your expertise in visual communication, design principles, and client-facing workflows will directly influence how AI models learn, adapt, and refine creative outputs. Unlike basic data labelers, you’ll collaborate closely with advanced engineers to shape next-generation AI tools and workflows—from ideation to deployment.
You’ll be part of Scholars, a global network of professionals who harness AI to streamline and elevate their fields.
As a Scholar, you’ll have ongoing access to the Scholars Library—a curated toolbox of AI technologies such as ChatGPT, Claude, Midjourney, Grammarly, and more.
You’ll also work with a kārya mitra, a work friend or personal concierge who assists with research, learning, and day-to-day support in real time.
Qualifications & Experience
Graphic Design Expertise
- 3+ years in professional graphic design, branding, UI/UX, or a related creative field.
- Strong portfolio showcasing layout, typography, color theory, and proficiency with industry-standard tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Sketch).
AI Familiarity
- Basic understanding of AI/ML concepts (e.g., model training, data annotation) with a strong willingness to learn advanced topics.
- Experience collaborating with technical or engineering teams on data-driven projects is a plus.
Communication & Collaboration
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; adept at articulating design requirements to both creative and technical audiences.
- Ability to excel in a remote, cross-cultural, and interdisciplinary environment.
Creative Problem-Solving
- Demonstrated ability to propose innovative solutions to design challenges, iterating quickly based on feedback.
- Keen eye for detail and dedication to delivering high-quality results.
Client-Focused & Ethical Approach
- Strong sense of accountability and commitment to maintaining client interests, diversity, and ethical standards.
- Eagerness to shape ethical AI practices in the rapidly evolving design landscape.
